FLOUNDER GIGGING TRIP RATES:
FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN AGE 12+ ALWAYS WELCOME & ALL SKILL LEVELS ACCOMMODATED.
$400 for 2 people + $75 for each additional person (Boat capacity is 4 guests plus the Captain.) For children under 12 – $50 each (limit 2).
Trips departs at approximately 8:30pm returning at 12:30am but times will vary and Capt. Dan will give you the details prior to your trip. Approx. 4 hours (morning or afternoons available).

HOW TO RESERVE: CALL CAPT. DAN 361-386-3219 WITH YOUR DATE OPTIONS TO CHECK AVAILABILITY. He will do his utmost to meet your needs and work with you to get your trip scheduled! IMPORTANT NOTE: TPWD (Texas Parks & Wildlife) closes gigging flounder for the month of November for replenishment purposes, however you can still gig Black Drum and Sheepshead – both are excellent table fare! TPWD also states that from December 1st thru December 14th, you can gig 2 flounder/person or catch them on rod & reel.
ABOUT THE BOAT:
Capt. Dan’s flounder gigging and fishing boat is a customized vessel! It has plenty of room, but most importantly – it has super LED lights that are used at night to easily spot the flounder that are typically buried on sandy, shallow bottoms. IT’S A FLOUNDER GIGGING MACHINE!

DEPOSIT AND CANCELLATION INFORMATION:
Trip Deposit is $150 paid via your credit card over the phone to reserve your trip date. With advance payment (7+ days from your trip date) you may also pay by mailing a check to: Capt. Dan Pike, PO Box 782, Fulton, TX 78358. Please inform the Captain when your check has been mailed – so he’ll know to watch for it. In addition, Capt. Dan reserves the right to cancel a trip due to inclement weather or unforeseen events. He will work closely with you to reschedule your trip and your deposit will be applied accordingly. No refunds are issued for inclement weather of the “Captain’s Call”… unless deemed appropriate by the Captain.
Notification of Cancellation must be made by you 15 days prior to your trips date for a full refund and only if cancellation is deemed for good reason. In all other circumstances, your refund will be held for a period of one year, in which time you can reschedule your trip. If outside this timeframe, your trip money and deposit are forfeited.
Coast Guard Required Weight Limits: 4 passengers & gear may not exceed 750 lbs.
2015 New Regulation: Limit 2 flounder/person from Dec. 1st thru Dec. 15th. (After Dec. 15th the limit goes back to 5 flounder/person.)
WHAT THE CAPTAIN FURNISHES:
Flounder gigs, rods, reels, and bait (live or dead). Note: Special arrangements can be made if you’d like Capt. Dan to clean your fish for the trip home and a tip for a good day-out is most welcome!!
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:
Sunscreen, non-skid shoes, hat or cap, light or heavy jacket (dress for the weather), insect repellent (just in case), and an empty ice chest to leave in your car to transport your fish home!

Alcohol & Beer Consumption: If alcohol is important to your trip, a casual beer or two is perfectly fine, however the captain maintains strictness when it comes to intoxicated customers. Most captains don’t allow alcohol but some do. I recommend for your sake – as well as that of your family or friends, that you do your celebrating after the trip.
